Trauma Therapy for the Bay
Living in the Bay can be intense, fast-paced lives, deep values, hustle culture, complex histories, and sometimes, the past shows up in the present. Whether your trauma stems from childhood, a painful relationship, systemic harm, sexual assault, or an abusive childhood, your story is valid and we can honor the pain even if part of you still minimizes it.
Trauma isn’t defined by what happened, it’s defined by what stayed. The nervous system stores memories, emotional reactivity, the sense of being stuck or “too much” or never enough. Many clients I work with across the Bay come in saying things like, “I should be over this by now,” or “Other people have it much worse.” Trauma doesn’t work on a timeline, and it’s not a competition.
This is where we slow down. Together, we’ll make space for the parts of you that learned to survive, by numbing out, withdrawing, lashing out, or even focusing on overachieving. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment work, psychoeducation, and somatic awareness to help you explore those parts with compassion, not judgment.
We will work at a pace that feels right for you. Some sessions may focus on processing memories or triggers. Others may center on learning how to feel safe in your body again, or just practicing what it’s like to have someone show up without trying to fix you.
This work isn’t about reliving everything—it’s about reclaiming the parts of you that got buried beneath survival strategies.
You don’t need to go through it alone.
